Technological University (Monywa) is a university under the Ministry of Science and Technology. It was started in 13th July 1982 as a Technological High School ( T.H.S ). In 1st December 1986, the university was improved to the Government Technological Institite ( G.T.I ). Then, it was transformed to Government Technological College ( G.T.C ) in 10th November 1999. In 20th January 2007, the government promotes the university as Technological University ( Monywa ) which has an area of 48.209 Acres on Myayne Bohditahtaung Road  in Sagaing Division, Myanmar. It is far from the south of Monywa about 6 miles.

 

Educational Objectives

(a)  To implement  the development activities and research for the development of the national economy.
(b)  To implement  the development of the national economy and wealth based on the national resources .
(c)  To develop the production by publishing the data from the development activities and research in agriculture and      industrial sectors .
(d)  To nurture and produce the skilled workers and technicians of advanced science and technology .
(e)  To analyse the raw materials , products and finished products , maintain the quality and grade the standards .
(f)  To implement the research and use of the atomic energy .
