The Location of T.U (Mandalay) is in Aung Chan Tuar  village group, Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Division. The area is 62.15 acre wide. The formely school, Government Technical Institute was established in July, 1955. It was situated at the corner of 30th and 68th street, Mandalay. In August 1999, it was upgraded to Technological College by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In October 2002, the new buildings of Technological College were set up in the present location. It was upgraded to the level of University in January, 2007, in accordance with the instruction of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
