SOI ASIA Research and Development Network Project

This project is supported by several ministries of Japanese government, and run mainly by Widely Integrated Distributed Environment (WIDE) Project, AI3 (Asian Internet Interconnection Initiatives) Project, Keio University and Asia-SEED Institute. The official lecture providing partners include Tokyo University of Fisheries and Marine Science, Agricultural Department of Tohoku University.
WIDE project has been working since 1988. The WIDE project is a research consortium among industry, public institutes and academia. The number of members working in the WIDE project is more than seven hundred researchers and engineers from more than hundred private companies and more than forty universities including University of Computer Studies, Yangon. The WIDE project operates the nation-wide R&D testbed, which is connected with many other R&D testbeds on the globe, and the NSPIXPs, that are one of the largest IXes in Japan.
