Advanced Computing Training Center, Yatanarpon
Ministry of Science and Technology, MOST opens the advanced training center at Yatanarpon Cyber City, Pyin Oo Lwin. The aim of opening the advanced computing training center is to provide the professional IT engineers for our developing country, Myanmar. In order to achieve the main idea of MOST that is to develop and enhance the science and technology both in bothl rural and urban regions in the country and to obtain specialists and professionals in science and technology area, the advanced computing training center is opened at Yatanarpon City. Since Yatanarpon City is one of the advanced ICT development regions for ICT sector in Myanmar, our minister, U Thaung has guided to open the advanced computing training center for human resource development. The training center was opened in December, 2009 with the first advanced training: "Software Development Course". The objectives of the training center are : - To distribute the advanced IT technology to all IT engineers in order to keep up with the world today
- To provide the job oriented pratical computer training as On-the-Job-Training (OJT)
- To conduct the Software and Hardware Technology with theory and practical understanding
- To improve the software industry both in public and private sectors
- To offer the job opportunities for graduated students in IT sectors
 
Today there are two types of training courses has been conducted at the training center so far.
Certificate Program
The Software Engineering and Network Engineering Certificates will be offered by the ministry for successful candidates. Software Development CourseThis course aims to provide the software engineering technology with the advanced programming language, JAVA. This software training enhances the knowledge, skills and performance of software developer, analyst, tester and manager of software development. After the training, candidate will be able to handle and build up the complete software system by himself. He/she will agin experience in developing the software system, expand their knowledge in project management and understand the importance of development procedures, problems and time factors in software development. Note: All candidates must pass the entranced exam. COURSE CONTENTS- Fundamental Programming
- Java Basic Programming with Data Structure
- Java Programming (J2EE)
- J2EE with complete web-based frame work (struts, spring and hibernate)
- Practical Project Development (One and half month for the real software development project)
- Software Development Engineering
- Software Development Methods (Software Development Life Cycle and Different types of Development Methods)
- Advanced Software Engineering Methods
- Basic Database Architecture and Techniques
- Advanced Database Management System and Techniques
- Object Oriented Software Development Methods
- Project Management for managing project development and scheduling

This training also enhance the knowledge, skills and performance of system engineers. After the training, candidates will be able to maintain the system and construct the network by himself. He/She will gain experiences in building network and knowledge in maintaining system.
